The right institute. A slot that actually holds.
Four institutes, limited capacity, and a national mandate quirk for tractors — picking correctly the first time avoids a resubmission to a different institute later.
CFMTTI Budni holds a unique national mandate for tractor type-approval — its Director is recognised as the Testing Authority for the whole country under CMVR Rule 126 — while the three regional institutes (Hisar, Garladinne, Biswanath Chariali) handle performance and endurance testing for the wider machinery categories in their region. Sending an application to the wrong institute, or underestimating how far out slots are booked, is a common and avoidable delay.
We confirm the correct institute for your specific machine and target scheme, liaise with them directly on your behalf, and track the allocation stage — fee verification through to the random-sampling assignment of a test officer and period.
A slot you can actually plan around.
- Institute confirmation
- The correct FMTTI institute for your machine category and target scheme, confirmed before you apply.
- Direct institute liaison
- We communicate with the institute on scheduling and status, so you're not chasing a portal alone.
- Fee-verification tracking
- Following your uploaded fee receipt through to Admin verification, the gate before slot allocation.
- Realistic timeline setting
- An honest read on likely wait times given current institute backlog, not an optimistic guess.
The lines we don’t cross.
- We can't skip the queue. Slot allocation, including the random-sampling step, is the institute's own process — we coordinate around it, we don't override it.
- No guaranteed dates. We give you the most realistic timeline available, not a promise the institute hasn't made.

Institutes & slots: clear answers.
- Generally your region's FMTTI — Hisar (North), Garladinne (South), Biswanath Chariali (North-East) — though CFMTTI Budni specifically handles tractor type-approval nationally regardless of your region.
- Institute capacity is limited and slots are often committed months ahead — the earlier your documentation is ready, the earlier we can start the slot conversation.
- Once your fee payment is verified, the Sub-Admin allocates a test officer and period via random sampling — a standard step in the Agri-Machinery Portal workflow before your equipment is sent for testing.
